WISDOM DOESN’T NECESSARILY COME WITH AGE
She is right. It doesn’t.
True wisdom is more than the accumulation of experiences or knowledge or years. True wisdom has a way of filtering those into something useful and helpful and good.
I’ve known some very wise people in their 20s and some very foolish people in their 80s.
Wisdom is, as I said, a filter, like a water filter that can take even a puddle of dirty water and clarify it and make it drinkable, refreshing, life-giving.
Whatever our age, perhaps the key is to discover and develop this wisdom filter and get really good at it.
What do you think are some of the elements of this “wisdom filter”?
