IT JUST BLOOMS
We grow a lot of flowers in our yard. My wife Barbara probably has 100 tropical plants, butterfly attracting ones. And I have hundreds of daylilies.
Those flowers do enjoy blooming. It is what they do, their purpose. There are tiny flowers and big ones. There are simply flowers and majestic ones. There are bright flowers and plain ones. And I don’t remember ever noticing the flowers comparing themselves with each other, thinking the other flowers are better than they are.
Now, I might do that. We humans do that. I make judgements about the flowers, particularly my daylilies.
But, there is something we can learn from the flowers. Quit competing. Just bloom.
